Seat covers are a simple way to protect the seats in your Subaru Forester from wear, spills and everyday dirt. But a loose universal cover can slide, bunch up under you, or get in the way of side airbags. That is why fit matters more than color.
Our top pick is the FQFZYMX Forester set. Its listing claims fit for 2007 through 2026 Foresters, leaves room for side airbags, and says it works with heated and cooled seats. The SHOUXIU and Kaomim sets are also solid choices, with similar years and materials and different strengths in fit method, detail and warranty. Here is what's available right now.

One catchThe listing describes its 360 degree protection for the front seats only, so check what it covers in the rear.
The FQFZYMX set is built around a close fit. the maker says the covers were designed from precise measurements for Forester years 2007 through 2026, with room for side airbags and seat belt slots aligned to the originals. The surface is faux leather, with a sponge middle layer for comfort and a non-slip bottom.
Installation is tool-free, and the listing estimates 10 to 20 minutes for a first-timer. The covers come off for cleaning, which suits a car that takes daily wear from pets, kids and spills. For most owners who want a full-coverage set that works with their seat features, this is the one to start with.
A full-set option for owners with an older Forester or a mix of model years, fitted with 3D scanning and designed to clear side airbags.

SHOUXIU lists the widest year range of the three, 2005 through 2027, and says its covers were modeled with 3D scanning for a precise fit. The listing describes full coverage that guards the factory seats against spills and daily wear, with no slipping or shifting, and airbag compatibility.
The listing is short on detail. Its title calls the material premium leather, but the bullet points don't describe it, so confirm the finish, colors and what is included on the product page before ordering. If you own an older Forester or want a wide year range, it's worth a look.
A faux leather full set for owners who want a fit and safety focus, with a warranty advertised on the listing.

Kaomim's listing focuses on fit and safety. It says the covers are designed to fit 2007 through 2026 Foresters, are made from premium faux leather, and are waterproof and easy to clean. The set is designed to work with side airbags and seat belts, and a step-by-step guide is included.
The listing also mentions an extended warranty, but it doesn't say what the warranty covers or how long it lasts. Ask for those details before buying if the warranty is a deciding factor.
Start with the fit. Manufacturers in this category say to match the cover to your exact Forester model year and trim, because fit is specific to both. Confirm side airbag compatibility on the product page, since side airbags need room to deploy.
Then choose the material for how you'll use the car. Sellers in this category commonly match materials to needs: rugged fabrics for hard use, leatherette for spill cleanup, and sheepskin for comfort. All three picks here use faux leather or a leather-style surface, so compare the finish in the listing photos.
Install times vary. The FQFZYMX listing estimates 10 to 20 minutes with no tools. A retailer in this category estimates 1 to 2 hours for custom covers in general, so allow more time for a first install on a full set.
The FQFZYMX full set is our top pick for most owners, because its listing describes a tailored fit for 2007 through 2026 Foresters, room for side airbags and a tool-free install. SHOUXIU is the option to consider if you have an older Forester or want the widest year range.
All three picks list fit for Forester model years that include 2019. Check that the cover matches your trim and seat configuration on the product page, since manufacturers say fit is specific to year and trim.
No single brand clearly leads for Forester covers. Choose by the fit claim for your exact model year, the material you want and confirmed side airbag compatibility.
The covers on this page are aftermarket products made by third parties, not Subaru-branded accessories. For Subaru-branded accessories, check with a Subaru dealer's parts or accessories department.
